9 days to departure!
Happy new year to everyone! A very different kind of feeling for us as we would normally be looking towards a new year of school and work, yet instead are in the thick of preparations for our year away. As I write, there is stuff everywhere, with lots of things to be finished off. We re getting through it though, emptying cupboards with three years worth of stuff in them, cancelling post, redirecting post, paying final bills, sorting the house for rent, throwing/donating clothes, books and toys, selling cars, cleaning out fridges, eating all the food, drinking all the wine, in fact a real Spring clean! My challenge for today was to sort through my wardrobe – no mean feat as I want to take absolutely everything for 1 year, yet can’t! So I guess that I will be taking lots of black, with the occasional coloured scarf for a bit of colour! We will be taking 4 soft bags ( for easy storage in van), 4 backpacks and 4 coats. Should be interesting…
Despite having started some serious goodbyes this weekend 🙁 , we are ever so excited about our adventure and really hope that you will join us in our experiences, making sure to look us up if you find yourself passing by…
In the meantime, back to the packing!

Have a fantastic trip you four. Very jealous. Looking forward to reading your blog and seeing what you’re up to. Maybe even catch up in late June, Chelle? – i’m in Pyranees and then UK, but flexible!
Good luck and make the most of it – I reckon it’ll go very quickly with all the things you’ve got planned!
